Max | Bar Mitzvah | Ann Arbor
Max’s Ann Arbor Bar Mitzvah was so epic! First, it was the first one I have ever attended/photographed. Second, it was an amazing celebration! So much time and work went into planning all of the details and everything went so smoothly and so beautifully. My favorite thing about the entire day is feeling how much support and love family and friends give. I don’t think I ever stopped smiling just watching everyone be together.

The week before Max’s big day, I was out shooting a senior session and thanking my lucky stars that we were getting to Spring. Warmth always helps everything. A week later, we were back down to ZERO! Zero degrees! It was so frigid! We opted to stay warm and had all pictures remain indoors. I think we all appreciated not freezing, but the atmosphere was also a super fun addition, especially for the party that night. All the purples and oranges really helped it feel like a party.
I absolutely loved hearing everything Max has done to work towards his Bar Mitzvah. His service project, learning a new language, preparing so many wonderful remarks for his candle lighting ceremony and all the gratitude that just gushed from him all day. I came home totally converted to the idea that all 12 to 13 year olds needs to have more gratitude in their life. What amazing things it can do!
Max and the entire Cooper family and friends, thank you so much for allowing me to be there for this incredibly important! You are surrounded by the finest people!
Enjoy this little peek into this super fun Bar Mitzvah! Be sure to check out Max’s basketball/hula hoop dunk! I still CANNOT BELIEVE how high you can jump, Max! It blows my mind every time I see it!
