Excuse me a moment while I freak out about this Law Quad and Forest Hill Cemetery Gatehouse Senior Session for Shaylee! I almost don’t have any words adequate enough to illustrate how I feel about these photos. Shaylee is just absolutely stunning! I told her the whole time that I felt like I was shooting for Vogue and feel even more this way after editing them. Seriously, girl! Goals! Not only that, but I’m not sure if you can meet anyone more relaxed and as genuinely kind as she is. She was so patient and sweet while I couldn’t get enough of snapping away!
If I could transport myself back in time to my senior year and become this fashionable I would do it in a heartbeat. For now, I’m going to watch the Devil Wears Prada for the bajillionth time and absorb all the fashion vibes while Shaylee makes me feel like I’m living in Paris. I’ve been working on my non-smiling model face ever since we finished this session and I may have to take lessons from Shaylee. I’m convinced that her perfect ability to do this is just pure talent. Mine is…not so good. 🙂
Gatehouse and Law Quad Senior Session
At the start of Shaylee’s session, she told me that she really wants to live in Edinburgh and doesn’t she look like she just belongs there? Luckily she had lots of layers because Michigan finally decided that it was time to have some fairly chilly mornings and I don’t think we’ve acclimated to the cold quite yet. I am just so happy it didn’t rain! I had never been to the Cemetery Gatehouse before and man! It’s perfection! There are so many angles and so much diversity in one little area. Such a good place to go! We ended at the Law Quad with lots of amazing light shining through the trees. I’m always soooo grateful for mom’s who are willing to hold a reflector! I really can’t emphasize enough what a huge help it is and it totally allowed us to get exactly the look I was hoping for!
Shaylee, thank you so so much for allowing me to document your senior year! I had such a good time and I’m seriously in awe of you in so many ways! You’re going to take on the world!
