I’m so excited to share this Grass Lake extended family session with you today! What a whirlwind of a May it was for so may people. My friend just referred to it as May-vember. It was as busy as the holiday season, but in May. So much planning for graduations, birthdays, family getting together, etc. If you’re reading this remembering what May felt like…please take a nap. Then get yourself a treat. You made it through! This is exactly what was going on with this family, which is the perfect season to get together and get family pictures! Graduation party followed by a large amount of birthdays!
Grass Lake Extended Family Session
I am totally in love with this location! It’s a hidden gem behind Grass Lake High School and just the perfect location. We needed lots of time and the sun was still very high in the sky. The trees were amazing for filtering some gorgeous light and the bridge saved us from the nature below. Many ticks were found just from walking to the parking lot to here. We pretty much stayed in one place just to keep everyone out of the grasses. Luckily, I believe we all came home without any intruders.
This was just a blast to photography so many families. So many fun personalities, so many beautiful smiles, and so chill. We had lots of kid humor going on to try and make the kids think adults are funny. I’m not sure we succeeding in convincing them of our sense of humor, but we got what we wanted, so that means something! Love seeing big families have such a great time together.
To the Spencer’s extended family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful families! I loved making crazy noises with you and proving that I’m a crazy person with a camera sometimes. It’s always so fun!
