Dan and Debra | Manchester Michigan | Backyard Summer Wedding

I’m so excited to share Dan and Debra’s Manchester Michigan wedding on the blog! Remember a few weeks ago when they were lighting up their photos at their engagement session? This was absolutely no exception. They were beaming all day – from start to finish! I LOVE being the one behind the camera on big days! I love knowing what story is behind every photo. All of the memories bundled up into something you can relive. It’s absolutely my favorite thing!

Manchester Michigan Wedding

Nerves on wedding days never really go away, do they? Well, not until after you’re through all the prep, the hype, the jitters, the big event, and the after party. We started our morning off with very real wedding day jitters. I love those little butterflies in your stomach that won’t let you sleep because something really exciting is about to happen! Getting ready with the ladies was so fun! Debra was so calm on the inside while I know she was getting antsy on the inside. A few things weren’t going quite right with hotel rooms, jewelry getting left behind, wedding day timeline worries, but she was still so calm and happy. Thanks to a good team, great friends and family who came to support, everything turned out just fine.

Funny story, when taking Dan’s getting ready photos, you’ll see a great amount of assistance went into helping him with his tie. Joe put forth his best efforts in hiding Dan’s way-to-short of a tie by stuffing the remains through the holes in Dan’s shirt and saying, “He’s wearing a jacket anyway, right?” I’d like to say that it was a photographer win for me on this one, because I assured him that Debra would appreciate an appropriate length tie for the wedding. Chris came in and saved us from tiny-tie woes. It was definitely good for a laugh and I love the candids that came out of it!

Dan and Debra had such a beautiful ceremony. We had prayed for gorgeous weather and boy, was it delivered! It could not have been more perfect. They have such an amazing story together! Debra brings out such a fun, goofy side of Dan and you can just tell that they are going to have so much fun together in anything they do. There is so much light, laughter, and love between these two! My favorite part of their ceremony? Their vows. So real and emotional. So beautifully spoken and honest. These two were meant for each other.

And those wedding day jitters? After all the laughter, amazing food, treats, more pictures, and unwinding…it felt time for a nap.

Dan and Debra, thank you so much for letting me laugh with you and be a part of your special day! You bring so much fun wherever you go and I have loved every second of working with you both! I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to be a part of your wedding day! I hope you cherish these photos for many years to come!
